If my amended 2019 return is still awaiting approval due to covid-19, should I use my 2018 for reference to AGI?

The IRS rejected my 2020 return saying my spouse's AGI doesn't match the 2019 which of course hasn't been accepted yet since I had to file by mail due to a silly mistake on my part.  So should I use the last confirmed AGI which would be from 2018?

No you do not use your 2018 AGI.  That will not work.   Try using zero.    If zero will not work then your 2020 return will have to be printed signed and mailed.
