I haven't sent my paper 2022 return yet but TurboTax is showing return as complete and not letting me change details unless I amend my return.

I want to convert my paper 2022 return state to unfinished to be able to change some details. However, TurboTax thinks I have already filed my return. I have not posted my paper return yet. How do I revert my tax return to unfinished status?

If you have not e-filed or mailed your return you can still make changes.   Click on Add a State.  You do not really have to add a state but that trick will let you go back in to make whatever changes you need to make before you file.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2022 online tax return where you can make any changes needed before filing.
