TurboTax does not receive any type of tax refund, federal or state.  TurboTax does not receive any type of Economic Impact Payment.

The stimulus payment will go to the account you entered for direct deposit on the 2019 tax return.  The direct deposit information cannot be changed.  If the account is closed the IRS will send the payment by mail or on a debit card.

Go to this IRS website for stimulus information - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/treasury-and-irs-begin-delivering-second-round-of-economic-impact-payme...

Go to this IRS website to check the status of your payment - https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

If you do not receive the second stimulus payment on or before January 15, 2021 and/or you did not receive the first stimulus payment in 2020 and you are eligible it will be entered on your federal tax return, Form 1040 on Line 30.

The Form 1040 has not been finalized and needs to updated to include the 2nd Economic Impact Payment.

We are having the same issue. Our first stimulus was direct deposited into our account with no issues. We have not changed bank accounts, yet our second stimulus is experiencing issues. The IRS transcript claims the deposit was made on 1/4/21, but The "Where is My Payment" feature on the IRS website says my payment status for #2 stimulus is unavailable; therefore, I don't have confirmation on whether or not it was deposited into a bank, mailed, etc. We aren't sure where to turn now for assistance. Turbotax is prompting me to pay for a membership to speak to a live person, and the forums aren't really answering personalized questions. I heard Turbotax was receiving stimulus deposits and rejecting them since they aren't paid to distribute these to customers. I am just frustrated and wanting to know what steps need to be taken to locate my stimulus. Just like every other American, COVID-19 impacted our family, and we deserve this relief, just like everyone else. It's frustrating that we are just told "to wait" when, in reality, we have been waiting for help for months. I am disappointed in Turbotax, and I am also disappointed in how sloppy the deposit process for the second round of stimulus has been. I hope you get answers.

If TT hasn’t received them, then who has? It’s now being reported that H&R Block and Turbo Tax are having issues. Anyone that paid for their product through their refund will be delayed.

My transcript also says it’s been issued but my bank doesn’t see it as pending. My family that filed for free all received theirs... hmmm.

Having the same issue. intuit's blanket response has been the above statement. Guess everyone will have to wait until they can file their 2020 tax returns. Wonder how many will abandon intuit.

Okay if turbo tax does not receive or put our money in a temporary account than why do you have the refund processing agreement section 4. And I received my last one in this account why I have I not received this one.

Let me start by saying that I completely understand and sympathize with your frustration. That said, my understanding is that this is not TurboTax's fault. Its the IRS's fault. They sent the payment to the wrong place. Turbo is prevented by law from dispersing funds, and must return them to the IRS. It's the IRS's responsibility to get them out where they belong.

Unfortunately, the answer is...wait. Appears many of us are going to have to wait. Either wait for a paper check, or wait until the end of the month and write it off on your taxes as a payment not received. Either way, that doesn't help any of us NOW, which is what is desperately needed.

You're not alone. Anyone who's transcript shows a 1/4/21 payment issue date and hasn't received their deposit yet, probably opted to pay their filing fees from their refund. So the IRS inadvertently sent everyone's payments to the pass through account TurboTax and H&R Block use to receive your refund and take their fees before forwarding and depositing into your personal account. H&R Block apparently kept their pass through accounts open so, somehow they've been able to deposit payments into the accounts customers provided when they filed. TurboTax closed their pass through accounts with Green Dot and rejected the payments and they've been sent back to the IRS. As of now, we're looking at 4-6 weeks for paper checks to be mailed. These rejected payments are excluded from the January 15th deadline because technically they issued and sent the payments before then. I've been told TurboTax, Green Dot and the IRS have been working to fix the issue and resend payments back out to the CORRECT accounts but there's no guarantee on that and we should basically anticipate receiving our payments by mail in the next month or so.

And yes, everyone affected by this seems to have received their 1st stimulus into their account with no issues last year. Apparently they were rushing to issue payments and this pass through account info glitch was over looked this time. So now there are tons of people who are looking at their transcripts seeing 1/4/21 payment issue date but have yet to receive their deposit. At no fault of their own. I'm not exactly sure who dropped the ball here. I've heard its IRS at fault for rushing and missing the glitch and I've also heard TurboTax provided them with these account numbers. If you check the IRS 'Get My Payment' tool on the website some are seeing 'Payment #2 Status Not Available' and some are seeing their payment was issued to an account number that is not theirs. Green Dot has said they are likely seeing an account number ending in the last 4 of their ssn. Which is how they set up the pass through accounts for TurboTax.

The IRS sent your stimulus payment to the account where your last refund was paid.  If you used TurboTax and paid with your refund, then that refund went to the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.

The Santa Barbara Tax Products Group takes out the money that you owe to TurboTax and sends the rest to you.

So the account on record is the SBTPG.  They got all the stimulus money and sent it back to the IRS.  The IRS will issue and mail a paper check.
