I had exactly the same issue. I also tried customer care and their solution after a couple of hours on calls with various tech people was to switch to the desktop version which I will not do.
So I entered them one final time, immediately downloaded the draft version of the tax return from the print center - this includes the 8938 forms I had just entered before TT online deletes them yet again. I plan to file electronically without 8938. Then I will file form 1040-X by mail to add the 8938 forms manually. It has been a huge waste of my time.
This must be a robot. This person or thing just does not read people's comments. The program does not WORK.
Have you tried the solution that @Aaronbeh suggested back on March 12? That's what ended up working for me.

Using the 'jump to' option (which is often suggested as the answer on these forums) would always result in input values not being saved and not appearing in the print view. I think this was suggested prior to the form being finalized by TurboTax since it was the only way to access it (it was no yet part of the interview).

Useless response from LenaH . The question was why was the online program not saving the data. Not when you should be using 8938. This online program does not work for people who want to file 8938. Period. .
I noticed a similar situation when I filled out form 8938 (and I need to), I filled out all the different banks and assets information. However, when I go back to look (in Easy steps), they are not there, so I input again. What happened there?
If you're using TurboTax Online go to 'Other Tax Situations' at the top, then scroll down to 'Other Tax Forms' and choose 'Prepare a Report on Foreign Financial Assets'.
If you have done this and the data is not saving, close TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies and revisit this section.

Thanks for replying. I am using the download version of TT though. So does that change your recommendation?
Yes, if you are using the desktop program, take this menu path.
In 2022, there is still an issue with Form 8938 not being exported to the return when using the online TT.

Shout out to agent Kadelias who spent 2 hours trying to figure out why Form 8938 was not populating after entering in all the information - turns out the solution was to use Chrome as your browser and not any other. Turbo tax's preferred browser is Chrome - not sure if that is stipulated anywhere when you sign up/in. Hope that helps!
