I bought Turbo Tax software. Why are you asking for more money to file?

You are using the TurboTax online editions instead of the software you should have installed on your personal computer.  Close the online program and go back to your personal computer to install the software and then start your tax return using the software installed on your computer.

The TurboTax desktop software and the TurboTax online editions are separate program with separate price points and do not sync with each other for the current tax year.

You can also move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info. Post back if you need to know how to move it to your Desktop program.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
