If the Recovery Rebate Credit is still not showing, then please review the requirements below to ensure you, your spouse and your dependents (if applicable) do qualify to receive the stimulus payment.
To qualify, you must:
In addition, per the IRS, to be a qualifying child of an individual for purposes of the payment, generally the individual must live with the child for more than half of the tax year, the child must not provide over half of his or her own support for the calendar year, and the child must not file a joint return for the tax year. The child also must be the individual’s child, stepchild, eligible foster child, sibling, grandchild, niece, or nephew. In addition, to be claimed as a qualifying child, the child must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or other qualifying resident alien. The child must be under the age of 17 at the end of the year for the tax return on which the IRS bases the payment. Also, a qualifying child must have an SSN valid for employment or an adoption taxpayer identification number (ATIN). A child who has an ITIN is not a qualifying child for this payment.
For more information, please see Calculating the Economic Impact Payment.
You'll need to amend your return to include the Recovery Rebate Credit.
To avoid unnecessary delays, do not amend until your original return has been fully processed.
You can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail.
Allow 16 weeks for processing.
See this TurboTax FAQ for help with amending.
You can check the status of your amended return here, but allow 3 weeks after filing for it to show up.
In TurboTax Online, to claim the Recovery Rebate credit please do the following:
Sign into your account and continue from where you left off
Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Federal Review on the top of the screen
On the next page titled Let's make sure you got the right stimulus amount, click on Continue
Follow the interview
TurboTax will determine whether you are entitled to any additional stimulus
Any stimulus amount remaining due to you will show as a credit on line 30 of your form 1040.
Thank you for the answer. My federal was already processed so I don't see the option to Review. How else can I get back to the Stimulus question?
Did you follow the blue links to see how to amend your return? You'll need to be in the amendment before you can review.
Yes, I'm in the Amend but there's no Federal Review. Thanks!

Thank you! I see it now. What do I do to amend my tax return since I never received the second stimulus direct deposit but it showed I should have?
You will see an option to amend your tax return on your home page in TurboTax when you log in. Choose that option and follow the instructions to amend your tax return.
