How long does it take to get a check from tpg

I know what you mean they do look like junk mail I open all mail even junk. I'm waiting on a reissue check. Because I tried cashing the first one at Walmart and they said it couldn't be verified so SBTPG had a stop payment on it. Even if I get a reissue check more than likely I will have problems cashing it, SBTPG are legal Racketeering at it's best Green Dot Bank same way considering they both are affiliated.

@Wh347 Instead of trying to just "cash" the check--- open an actual bank account and deposit the check.   Wait for the check to clear and then withdraw money as needed.

Going forward---instead of involving a third party bank, pay your software fees upfront when you prepare and file your tax return.

I already know what you mean and have informed others about the same method you speak of. Pay all tax services their fees upfront. As for opening a bank account and deposit it I have to make sure that I have enough in the account to cover the check. Someone posted a while back that they did that exact same thing with the bank and the check never cleared. The efforts of getting the matter resolved was impossible the person just gave up and said they will pay for services upfront for now on.

Checking in.... Is anyone else STILL waiting for their refund check?

I don't need information on what to do moving forward, I understand all that. I would like to know if anyone is still waiting after so long and what, if anything, they've been advised to do to actually get their check. Has anyone been successful getting outside help? From something or someone besides SBTPG? 

I have been waiting since Feb. 24th!

Submitted iBond for new check (that, according to SBTPG, was processed June 7th and would be mailed out within 5 business days from then). I filed complaints with BBB, FTC etc, etc. 

I can't get through to anyone with SBTPG or the IRS.

I don't know who or where else to turn to get my check.

If you're in a similar situation and know how to proceed, please advise. If you were in the same situation and successfully fought to get your check, please advise.

hey im in the same boat. Call Irs [phone number removed] ext 569. Talk to someone Tell them what happened they will track the check for you and send it to you you will have to wait up 90 t0 120 days though. I'm waiting on a 2020 refund and have been waiting since April .

I am in the same exact boat I just need guidance I had another check reissued to me through the IBond Form the check was re issued and sent out the first of July I saw it the 5th through informed delivery and have still yet to receive it I have called the TPG-IRS-USPS no one seems as if they can help or care does any one know what next step I should take?

Let me tell you a story about the "informed delivery " tool that the post office has ... just because they took a picture of it doesn't mean it will be delivered that day ... see this note at the bottom of the screen :  

What happened to me last year  ... my mail in ballot was supposted to be in the mail on Wed and my roommate's on Thurs and his showed up on Thurs  but mine  was  "lost"  and finally delivered 3 weeks later the day before the election (and in perfect condition).  I did put in a "missing mail" report as directed.   Where it was for those 3 weeks between when it's picture was taken and when it finally showed up is a mystery that may never be solved.

I also have USPS Informed Delivery, but my mail still sometimes ends up in my neighbor's mailbox.

If it has been more than 2 weeks contact the sender to see if the mailing was returned  and/or if the check has been cashed yet.

My check never arrived again so stpg recommended sending back to the IRS when I gave the okay to do that in May was told I was put into a waiting list and last update from last week is there is still no ETA on when they will be sending refunds back to the IRS

Ok here's how it goes SBTPG doesn't send checks back to IRS, what they do is have you fill out forms for a check reissue which can take 10 weeks.

If SBTPG mailed out the check twice and you did not get either of them then you have a mail box issue.  Have the post office hold your mail for a while and pick it up at the post office directly.    If the bank does send the money back to the IRS then it can take a month or more for them to send out a check ... again your mail box may be compromised or the address is incomplete so it cannot be delivered.   You may need to put in a change of address form with the IRS so it can be delivered some place that you trust it to go maybe like a PO BOX.

They do send back checks. They sent mine back after the form.The it's tracked it and they immediately responded I will get my check from the IRS in 2weeks. I had to change my address with IRS to send it to current address
