There have not been any reports of the Social Security taxable benefits being in error for either 2018 or 2019.
Where do you see an error in the worksheet?
The TurboTax Social Security Benefits Worksheet follows the same format as the IRS Social Security Benefits Worksheet - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040gi.pdf#page=28
I know that the Turbo Tax worksheet is intended to follow the IRS worksheet, and since the instructions on lines 3 and 4 of the Turbo Tax worksheet are not the same as those on the IRS worksheet, I need to report this. If you do not see this discrepancy, then the copy of the Turbo Tax worksheet that you have access to is not the same as the one included with my completed return, so that would be a different bug but still a bug.
My original question was how to file a bug report. Please tell me how to do so.
Thank you for your help.

I am just starting with 2020 TurboTax and am filing in the 1099-R forms (OMB Bi 1545-0119) from the Public Employees Retirement Association, 60 Empire Drive - Suit 200, St. Paul, Minnesota [social security number removed]. The headings on the form are:
12-State Income Tax Withheld/13-Payers State Number/14-State Distribution
Here's the issue, your software it says
TurboTax State Information (Boxes 14-16) has the following headings:
14-State Tax Withheld/15-State ID/15 State Payers State No/16-State Dist. Amt
Note that on the 1099-R form from Minnesota (OMB Bi 1545-0119) that:
State Income Tax Withheld is in BOX 12, the Payers State Number (and State ID) is in BOX 13 and the State Distribution is in BOX 14.
Note that the Minnesota form has 12-State Income Tax Withheld BUT TurboTax has 14-State Tax Withheld. THESE ARE DIFFERENT BOXES THAN THE 1099-R.

You selected the wrong form before starting to enter the 2020 tax data. You chose a Form 1099-R instead of the Form CSA-1099-R, Civil Service Annuity or the Form CSF-1099-R, Civil Service Survivor Annuity.
Delete the form you entered. Then select the correct form
Enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R
This problem is NOT with TurboTax. The MN Public Employees Retirement Association forms have the error. If you are from MN and have payments from PERA, you can call them [phone number removed]) and hear that "Box 12 on the 1099-R should be BOX 14, Box 13 on the form should be BOX 15, and Box 14 on the form should be BOX 16" which conforms with the Turbo Tax box numbers.
That is an incorrect answer. The form is 1099-R, it is not for any annuity nor is it labeled CSA 1099-R. The error is with the State of Minnesota and they will tell you that the boxes are wrong if you call them (see my reply to my own posting). TurboTax has the correct box numbers.
I have another problem with TurboTax. When doing the State of MN Tax return there is a section that says "Go to your 2019 Tax Return and enter your "Adjusted Gross Income" listed on line 8a" but this may be incorrect for the 1040-SR "Tax Return for Seniors".
Line 8a on 1040-SR is "Adjustment to income from Schedule 1, line 22..." it is not the Adjusted Gross Income.
Line 8b on 1040-SR is "Subtract line 8a from line 7b. This is your adjusted gross income..."
Something that TurboTax needs to fix, or maybe ask if you filed 1040-SR before sending people to the wrong line.
I find an error on reporting Government Bond Interest on a 1099-INT. If you have reported interest earlier, then this can be deducted from the total, but the deduction is not being calculated and the full amount appears. This is the Home and Business version
And I would also like to find a place where errors can be reported. This site is so confusingly designed on about how to contact anyone
And I can't find a way to report an error
Thanks for the 5 emails telling me I earned all kinds of badges for reading and posting etc. Now how about some info on how I report an error on my state income tax form?
