How do I change my routing number for stimulus check

I changed my bank account since 2019 taxes and can’t receive my stimulus check.

If for some reason you do not receive all or part of your stimulus payments in advance, you can have it added to your refund. The IRS will stop mailing payments on 1/15 and will  not begin processing returns until  sometime after 1/25  so all stimulus payments should have been received by then and you can file the return with the credit.   

Please wait until you are certain there is no second payment, then you can follow these steps, if necessary. 

• After you have entered your tax information and are ready for the Federal Review, stimulus will be the first question.
• If you are trying to trigger it: 
1. go to Other Situations
2. click Done. 
3. The next question will ask about payments received.
• The program will determine the missing amount and add it to your refund.

Once a tax return has been filed the method or means to receive the tax refund cannot be changed.

If you have already successfully efiled it cannot be changed.

I filed my 2020 and it's in another department I Guess because they're taking owed money from 2018....will they use my 2019 return? Because I accidentally put my wire transfer routing number on my 2020 return.

If  you have filed the 2020 tax return with an incorrect account number that cannot be changed.  If this was for a tax refund the bank will reject the direct deposit and send the refund back to the IRS.  The IRS will then send the refund check in the mail to the address on the tax return.

Once a tax return has been filed the bank information for a direct deposit of a refund or a direct debit for taxes owed cannot be changed.
