Hello, I still haven't received my full Federal refund from tax year 2020. What should I do and who should I contact? I am missing about 2,000 dollars.

At first, I accidentally filed my 2020 taxes incorrectly by stating that I was "dependent."  In the fall of 2021, I revised and resubmitted my corrected return with "independent."  This was than received by the IRS and confirmed as correct.  However, I still have not received the amount for the 1st and 2nd stimulus checks that I qualified for and never received.  It has been about seven months since I revised and submitted my correct return.  Please help!

Did they only send the original refund amount to date ?       The missing first 2 stimulus payments of $1800 total should have been on the amended return line 15 and included in the refund on line 22.   The IRS has been taking more than a year to process some of them so all you can do is check the IRS site from time to time.  https://www.irs.gov/filing/wheres-my-amended-return

Hi @Critter-3 , Thank you for your reply!  Correct, I received all other refunds for 2020 except for the two stimulus checks.  I moved out of the USA in 2021 and don't know which zip code to enter into the IRS refund status form.  Would it be my last zip code in the states or my new zip code in Switzerland?  I tried both, but it didn't work.
