I bought the desktop version, however, because I have not paid to upgrade to Windows 11, I had to use the online version. It is absolutely horrible. It’s impossible to navigate.. I have no idea what is going on. I could not find the tools. I decided I need to file for an extension because I’m getting ready for a trip and I cannot handle the Frustration of dealing with this now. I could not find out how to file for an extension. I paid another service to e-file for an extension. I want my money back . I have been a loyal TurboTax user for over 10 years at least. But I am so upset I may never use it again.

Presumably you're on Win 10 or Mac OS 13 which Turbotax no longer supports. Online navigation is different to desktop, it's very interview-centric and constantly upselling, functionality is different (no forms mode) and you can only file 1 return per account, it's generally more expensive than desktop. I don't think the switch is a good experience for long-term desktop users.
To request a refund try this or you may need to call Turbotax but say "billing" when asked the reason for the call.
I totally agree with you. This year the unexpected fees and the freezing of the page until you agree to the terms and then when you try to change and not upgrade to some expert service that you do not receive and did not use is an unfair business practice and TurboTax is going to lose a lot of long-time customers because of the greed that they are expressing in their unwanted products
They lost me. I went with FreeTaxUSA. Fed is free, state is 15.99. I was done in a little over an hour as compared to the over 3 hours I spent struggling with TurboTax last year.
Returns were accepted by the feds and the state the same day. Simple, easy, clear, a little bit of upselling for other services but not horrible.
I'm sure TurboTax will take down this post!
