Can someone tell me bout the refund advance? I thought I applied but how would you know?

I chose the advance refund and filled out for the credit karma but there was also something going on with the website/the app and credit karma not having the same info that day. Not with just my account with others as well.  My refund has been accepted by both.  How can I tell if it even went through with the advance or not.

Mine does I've been with credit karma banking for over a year. I have my tax refund going to my turbo card just like I have for the last 3 years

Not sure if anyone is getting the advance seems like almost seems like false advertisement with the advance. If it is the 20 day wait that's not 15 mins after your return was excepted its been 4 days and still nothing but both fed and state was excepted???

No none yet cost 40 to apply for it seems like they are trying to make free money off of people.

I am confused why soo many people are having difficulty with the advance.  I hope they resolve this issue.

I received notice that the irs accepted my e-file taxes via turbotax yesterday at 1pm.

Today, 1/27, I received both the email notification and the refund advance deposit into the credit karma account roughly around 3am.

I keep getting stuck in the credit karma turbo tax loop. If I choose deposit to my spend account, credit karma verifies me. If I choose refund advance I get an error saying they can't verify me. I use the same email as  credit karma/ turbo tax. I got the advance last year no issues. I'm the primary tax payer but still the loop. Why would it only verify when I choose credit karma deposit  vs refund advance? I tried turbo tax live assist, I've went everywhere online and can't find a way that works

I applied for the advance on 1/26  but didn't get an email saying I was approved it said it on the screen and I created my Credit Karma Spend account and my returns were accepted yesterday but haven't received the advance.  I contacted Credit Karma and they told me to contact TurboTax.

If you qualify, you'll be notified by email. The remainder of your refund (minus the Refund Advance amount and any TurboTax fees) will be loaded into your checking account with Credit Karma Money™ when the IRS or state tax authorities distribute your refund (typically within 21 days from IRS acceptance).

Should I have received an email saying I wasn't approved?  The process that I went through asked me to open a Credit Karma Spend account and I went through that process.  If I wasn't approved shouldn't I have had to choose another way to get my refund?

You will receive an email if approved or denied. 

No, they would keep the information the same, as once the return is filed you cannot change the method by which you receive your refund. @getzette66
