You won't be able to make any changes until your return has been accepted or rejected by the IRS. If rejected, you would need to correct any information that caused your return to be rejected as well as make any other changes to your return that you see fit, then proceed to resubmit your return.

Thanks! Once it is accepted, how do I change it?

Unfortunately, once your e-filed return has been accepted, it's too late to change your refund method. For more information please click here

I was told by someone on here that I had to wait for it to accepted and then I could change how I wanted to get it back. So someone is wrong. Can I get the right answer please?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to make any changes to your tax return once it has been e-filed and accepted. Once it has been accepted, the IIRS has the information and it cannot be changed at that point.
