My circle of friends and family who used a tax rep to file their taxes have already received their state and federal refund two weeks ago. Everyone I came across who have the issue with Returns are still being processed all have used Turbotax to submit. Why else would you be posting on a Turbotax forum?
That is very interesting, I did not even think about that.
That is interesting all my family and friends who use TurboTax have all filed their returns in mid to late February and all have received their federal tax refunds. Go figure....
The IRS says
"Some tax returns take longer to process than others for many reasons, including when a return:
The IRS will sometimes contact a filer by mail when they need more information to process a return.
What does it means when your tax status says your refund is still being processed. Please keep checking back for an refund date
I filed February 11th and it still says it’s still being processed 🤨 this is bs !!
I called the IRS this morning since my Federal Return was accepted on Feb 10th and still processing.
Today would officially be the 22nd day, well after 30 minutes on hold, the IRS rep told me officially they didn't start processing returns until Feb 12th, so I would have to wait until tomorrow to call back.
I will keep you guys updated...
Excellent, I will be calling them tomorrow also because I tried calling the IRS today and because of the extremely high volume of calls that they are receiving they could not connect me to a representative, so I will be calling first thing in the morning. Thank you for the info
I did the same thing, first time I called, and went through the prompts provided in the previous post above to follow the prompts etc, got a message regarding high call volume and to call tomorrow.
I tried again 15 minutes later, but this time I did include my SS# on the prompt instead of skipping and I was able to get through to an agent but again no help since I have to call back tomorrow.
Good luck.
You got to love the IRS because when they owe you money they take their sweet time but when you owe them money they want their money immediately. And thank you I am going to need it.
did anybody talk to IRS? it’s been 21 days lol
I called irs this morning the fastest way to get to the irs is click personal tax then click on where you’re looking into payments or transcript. Do not go back to check status of payment. Once operator comes on they’ll transfer you to right department.
Mine is processing and it does not have that orange bar on the where’s my refund site.
This tells me something is wrong. So I called and they told me I had errors on my return and it could take up to 4-8 weeks. If they need anything they’ll mail me a letter. But I will call once a week until resolved.
Where my federal release date

The IRS says 9 out of 10 filers who efile and choose direct deposit will get their Federal refunds within 21 days after being accepted. Some returns are processed fairly quickly, while others require additional processing due to specific items in the return. Some are pulled at random for more thorough investigation.
If you efiled, you should double-check to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted.
If you used Online TurboTax, you can sign into your Online Account and check the efile status at the Tax Home.
If that showed it was accepted, you can use the "Where's My Refund" tool at the IRS website below to monitor the status of your Federal refund.

TIPS:
You can also try phoning the IRS refund hotline. I've seen it work for some users when the WMR tool didn't. 800-829-1954
