So I FINALLY received my DD for my tax returns 3/17- I received my last 2 stimulus DD. Now when I check I’m getting that dreaded message “you are eligible a payment date will be given when available.” Is anyone else going through this? Also side note- the message does display my correct bank account but they going to make me wait 7 weeks like my tax refund? Lol

Yes... I also received my tax return the 17th and that is the same message I'm getting in get my payment. A lot of others that had their returns dd'ed on the 17th are seeing this message too from what I've read and heard. Hopefully our payments will go out in the next wave.

So I’m on another discussion board- a person got there’s today but has a credit union account which makes me believe the next wave is Wednesday- I’m gonna check the GMP tool tomorrow and hopefully we will have an update. I already had to wait weeks for my tax return and it’s like they are alternating between tax returns and stimulus 🙄

I know it's so frustrating!.. the more I read the more people I see that had a return date of the 17th and a few got a date (within the last couple hours) for next wednesday so hopefully ours will change soon.

I received the 3rd stimulus, but still have not received my tax return. I filed Feb 5th and accepted Feb 12th. I had no info on the IRS opening on the 12th. I only filed because I knew to do it early as previous years. Anyways, It is nearly 7 weeks later and still no tax return. When I filed, turbo tax asked what I got the 1st two stimulus and I answered honestly, $600 each. Then they say I was qualified for more so they added an extra $600 on top of my return. I think this is what could be causing a delay because they still gave me the $1,400.

Does anyone have any insight?

It's possible that your refund is taking longer because the IRS is matching their stimulus payment records with your return.  In any event, since it's been more than 21 days since your return was accepted you can call the IRS about the status of your refund.

To contact the IRS, please review the steps and information below:

IRS Support Number: (800) 829-1040

To reach a live agent at the IRS support number, follow these steps:

1.      Select your preferred language.

2.      Press 2 for “Personal Income Tax”

3.      Press 1 for “Form, Tax History, or Payment”

4.      Press 3 for “All Other Questions”

5.      Press 2 for “All Other Questions”

6.      Do not enter your SSN or EIN. It will ask you twice; do not enter anything.

7.      Press 2 for “Personal or Individual Tax Questions”

They are available Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time (Alaska & Hawaii follow Pacific Time).

This year has brought challenges for everyone and the IRS is part of that list. The IRS is required to reconcile the tax returns and stimulus payments as well as working on the third stimulus payments due to the American Rescue Plan.  With the tax season and the changes taking place all at once, a delay should be expected for full payments. They want to be diligent and are required to follow any protocols they have been issued.  They will make any adjustments and additional payments as they complete the process.

Use the following links for helpful information about the third stimulus.

If you're a Social Security recipient, you're likely wondering when your third stimulus check will arrive. Here are the new details revealed by IRS, SSA and more.

The stimulus check rules can be a little different for people who receive SSI and SSDI.

Angela Lang/CNET

It's now up to the IRS to start sending out the third stimulus checks of up to $1,400 per person to the nearly 30 million eligible people who receive Social Security benefits. Now that the agency has the payment files it had been waiting on from the Social Security Administration, it can start processing the new stimulus checks on behalf of people who receive federal income benefits and their dependents. We're still waiting for the IRS to announce an official date for sending the stimulus checks to people receiving Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Insurance and veteran benefits -- but it could happen with a third wave of checks.

Those eligible will automatically receive an Economic Impact Payment of up to $1,400 for individuals or $2,800 for married couples, plus $1,400 for each dependent. Unlike EIP1 and EIP2, families will get a payment for all their dependents claimed on a tax return, not just their qualifying children under 17. Normally, a taxpayer will qualify for the full amount if they have an adjusted gross income of up to $75,000 for singles and married persons filing a separate return, up to $112,500 for heads of household and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns and surviving spouses. Payment amounts are reduced for filers with incomes above those levels.

Generally, if you are a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien, you are eligible for the full amount of the third Economic Impact Payment if you (and your spouse if filing a joint return) are not a dependent of another taxpayer and have a valid Social Security number (see exception when married filing jointly) and your adjusted gross income (AGI) on their tax return does not exceed:

  • $150,000 if married and filing a joint return or if filing as a qualifying widow or widower
  • $112,500 if filing as head of household or
  • $75,000 for eligible individuals using any other filing statuses, such as single filers and married people filing separate returns.

Payments will be phased out – or reduced -- above those AGI amounts. This means taxpayers will not receive a third payment if their AGI exceeds:

  • $160,000 if married and filing a joint return or if filing as a qualifying widow or widower
  • $120,000 if filing as head of household or
  • $80,000 for eligible individuals using other filing statuses, such as single filers and married people filing separate returns.

Most eligible people will get the third Economic Impact Payment automatically and won't need to take additional action. The IRS will use available information to determine eligibility and issue the third payment to eligible people who:

  • Filed a 2020 tax return.
  • Filed a 2019 tax return if the 2020 return has not been submitted or processed yet.
  • Did not file a 2020 or 2019 tax return but registered for the first Economic Impact Payment using the special Non-Filers portal last year.

You can check the status of your third payment by using the Get My Payment tool.

The IRS will be sending out the third stimulus payment for the rest of the year. Just because you have not gotten it yet, does not mean you won't. If for some reason you do not get it, you can get the Recovery Rebate Credit when you file your 2021 tax return.

This is absurd. There seems to be no pattern determining why some of us still have an eligible but no date status at this point. Sending payments throughout the year is not acceptable. It’s time for Intuit to step up and advocate on our behalf.

I don’t know what’s going on. I filed early, received my refund on February 23rd... no issues. I received the first two stimulus payments with no issues as well through DD. The third stimulus, however is telling me I am eligible for payment and when they have a date they’ll update my page.. they also have my correct DD information listed. It’s been what, 5 weeks since Biden signed the bill? There’s so many ppl on Reddit stating their says the same thing since day one also. Just wonder if anyone has any insight at all? There seems to be no rhyme or reasoning to IRS’s method this time around. They are issuing  plus up payments to people when others haven’t even received their first payment yet.

TurboTax has NOTHING to do with issuing your third stimulus check or your monthly child tax credit payments.

Those payments are being issued by the IRS.    TT cannot "advocate" for you to get those payments or do anything to speed up the IRS for you.

TurboTax cannot track your 3rd stimulus or tell you when it will arrive.  The IRS is issuing 3rd stimulus checks on its own timetable.

You can use the IRS Get My Payment site to see what is expected for your 3rd stimulus check:

If you didn’t receive a third Economic Impact Payment, you may be eligible to claim a Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2021 federal tax return.

In TurboTax,The Recovery Rebate Credit will be found in the Federal Review section.

To claim the Credit:

  1.  Enter all your federal return information as you would normally
  2.  During the Federal Review, we’ll check if you meet the requirements for the stimulus payment
  3.  If you meet the requirements, you'll see the Did you get a third stimulus? screen
  4.  Answer a few questions about any payments you've already received and then we'll let you know if the Recovery Rebate Credit applies

If you need to trace a payment that the IRS says has been issued to you, mail or fax a completed IRS Form 3911, Taxpayer Statement Regarding Refund.
