2016 .tax file

I need to access my 2016 .tax file in order to amend the return. I prepared the 2016 and 2017 tax returns using one username/login; however I changed accounts for 2018 and 2019. The site is telling me that I can't download the 2016 .tax file because I didn't use TurboTax for 2018, only I did, just under a different username. Help?

Unfortunately, we are unable to merge two accounts for security purposes. You will have to access your 2016 return separately. You can also order a free tax return transcript from the IRS.

Please click this TurboTax FAQ below to learn how to file a prior year's tax return with TurboTax.  You will need to mail it in as the IRS does not accept e-filed tax returns for prior year's. TurboTax is only available to file 2017, 2018 and 2019 tax returns.

Pease see this TurboTax FAQ if you need to access a prior year's tax return you filed with TurboTax.
