$100 Bonus For depositing tax refund

Hi! My tax refund just cleared in my account and I was under the impression that if I opened an account and deposited into credit karma that there would be a bonus $100 is that the case? And when would I see that?

Intuit recently acquired Credit Karma; however, Credit Karma and TurboTax are separate products. If you need help checking on the status of a bonus offered by Credit Karma, you should reach out to Credit Karma directly using the FAQ link provided below:

Hi there! There’s a thread on here about the $50 bonus they offered last year and a bunch of people either never got the money or got $15 eventually. But last year’s offer required setting up direct deposit from a job in addition to depositing your tax refund. I can’t find any info, but you not getting your $100 bonus doesn’t seem like it’s looking good.

Same here, this is first time I have had the option to have my refund go through Credit Karma money and my thing say get $100 deposit for choosing that option, but now I cant find that in my order summary so how do I know when I will get that.

I dont feel like mine showed me any of that. Ugh what a rip off.  Anyways I can change that?  I have never gotten a refund through credit karma before and now I will never do it again.  has anyone ever received a refund through them before?

Credit Karma is a new option this year and yes refunds have been flowing thru the system just fine ... when the IRS releases the money it takes up to 5 business days for the deposit to be posted.  Watch the IRS tool here:   https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Thanks for the info!! have people really been getting their refund up to 5 days early?  Sorry this is the first year I have chosen this method of getting a refund.

Yep same here! I never got my refund and sent a support message to credit karma and they are asking for a screenshot of the promotion.

I just called Credit Karma support and here is what they said

1. You need to deposit the tax return in your credit Karma spend account

2. You need to have set up direct deposit into the account for before June xth (forgot the day, let's just say before June to be safe)

So in other words, they want to become our main bank app and they are tricking us into it by making it look like a simple tax return deal. I am mad, but technically it's still a deal that benefits some and has no costs to me other than time and confusion so I guess it's not a big deal.

I already had a Credit Karma account and I already have a portion of my paycheck direct depositing into it...

I wonder if this is only for new Credit Karma accounts.

Either way if I get my refund faster that's cool too. I actually already got my state deposited.
