I filed my 2020 taxes after the extension date. I filed by mail. I have cannot find any status of receipt by IRS. After reading some of the previous questions/answers, I realize I should've used certified letter. And, I may not have sent my W-2s and 1099s. What should I do? Can I resend my return?

If you are expecting a refund you can check the IRS website Where's My Refund 4 weeks after mailing your return.
If you are not expecting a refund, you will need to contact the IRS. They are behind in processing returns, so it is taking longer, however, you don't want to send another copy in.
@LMAR The IRS refund site will not be showing any information now for 2020 refunds. It is only going to show information for 2021 refunds. If you did not use certified mail or any other means of tracking to make sure your return was received by the IRS, then you are in a pickle. And... if you did not attach your W-2's or 1099's that showed tax withheld, that was an extra mistake. Did you sign and date the return on page 2 next to the words "Sign here?"
Getting through to the IRS by phone is quite difficult. You can try, but you may not find out anything.
To call the IRS:IRS: 800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri
Listen to each menu before making the selection.
First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.
