Need to get access to my jointly filed tax returns my husband filed and won’t show me how do I get access to it ? He filed through turbo tax

I have not seen and my husband will not give me access to my tax returns for 2019 and 2020 tax returns, he has refunds direct deposited into his bank account that I also have no access to. So I really need to get a copy for my own records. He files thru turbo tax and I guess he signs my name and how do I fill out a form to split tax return so half gets direct deposited into my bank account?

Thank you

You can get free transcripts of the tax returns using your Social Security number from the IRS or complete copies of the tax returns for a fee.

Go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

For the tax returns completed and filed using TurboTax online, you would need the User ID and password for the online account.

There are no forms you can use to have a tax refund distributed to separate accounts once the tax refund has been issued by the IRS.

For TurboTax assistance with the online returns you will need to contact TurboTax support for the procedure to access the online returns.

without knowing the a/c and password, you can't access it.   you would have to contact Turbotax support to see if they will help.

how the IRS and the courts view non-consensual returns. Following is an overview:

  1. An individual may not file a joint tax return without the consent of the marital partner.
  2. Filing a joint tax return without the consent of the marital partner is a crime.
  3. Similarly, signing your name on the return without your consent is considered forgery, which is also a crime.
  4. If a joint return was filed without your consent, the IRS will automatically deem the non-consensual joint tax return to be fraudulent.
  5. If the IRS decides that your spouse filed the joint return intentionally and without your consent, he may face hefty financial penalties.
  6. In addition, if the IRS decides that your spouse filed the joint return intentionally and without your consent, your spouse may have to go to jail.
  7. If the non-consensual return is filed during a divorce proceeding, you may be entitled to relief from the family court in Oklahoma City or other courts that is handling your case.

simpler may be to file form 4506-T with the iRS

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506t.pdf

Individuals. Transcripts of jointly filed tax returns may be
furnished to either spouse. Only one signature is required.
Sign Form 4506-T exactly as your name appeared on the
