Hello,
My phone number changed since last year, so I tried to recover my account, but I don't remember my user ID.
To retrieve my user ID, I requested a verification code via email, which I successfully received. However, after entering the code, I'm asked to complete a second verification step using my phone number, which I no longer have access to.
I tried creating a new account, but I can't complete my 2024 tax return because I need my 2023 tax records, which are stored in my original account that I can't access.
Please help !

Try it this way:
NOTE: Before running the account recovery tool below, log out of all Intuit accounts including this user forum, or you might end up in a loop. Then clear your browser Internet cache, close your browser, then reopen it, and go to the link below. You may wish to copy the link so you can paste it into the new browser session.
On the log-in screen accessed at the link below, this time leave the data field blank, scroll down a bit, then choose the small blue link that says "Try something else", and it will look you up by other parameters.

Thank you for your response.
It does work, but it only allows me to log in using my email, which I already know.
I wanted to retrieve my user ID because I was given a form to request a phone number change with TurboTax. To complete the form, the user ID is required. I don't know how to proceed.
When I enter my password using my email, it still asks for verification through my phone number.

When that 2-factor authentication screen crops up that asks for the second method of authentication, is there any link about authenticating another way?
If not, here's how to phone TurboTax Support for assistance. You'll see a phone number when you expand the FAQ. Tell them you can't use the second step of the 2-factor authentication.
FAQ: What's the TurboTax phone number?
