My Federal tax return went to a bank account I don't recognize. I looked up the routing number, and it's called MVB. What is going on?

Your tax return is the form you send to the government that shows your income and calculates your tax. The money the government sends back to you is your refund.

Did you select the option to have your TurboTax fees taken out of your federal refund? If so, the refund gets sent to a temporary account at an intermediary bank. The bank pays your TurboTax fees from that temporary account, then sends the rest of your refund to your own bank account.

Thank you for the response! I think that’s what happened. It’s been a month since the refund was sent to the MVB account. How long does it normally take for TurboTax to do the deduction and transfer it to my account?

It should only take a day or two. They should have sent you an email if there was a delay. Look back through your old emails if you can, and check your spam folder, to see if you missed it. You can check the status on the TPG web site. If you need to call them, the number is 877-908-7228.

MVB Bank is the bank that administers the Credit Karma Money Spend Account and the Credit Karma Visa Debit Card.

When filing  your tax return, one of the refund options is to receive the tax refund into a Credit Karma Money Spend account.   Based solely on your mention of "MVB Bank", it sounds like you may have done that.   Look at the Filing Instructions page of your return PDF, and it may show you what all you chose for handling the refund.
