My Federal Tax Return Was Accepted. I Chose Direct Debit to Pay My Taxes. The Taxes Have Not Been Withdrawn. Why?

Hello, I chose to pay my federal taxes with direct debit. My federal tax return was accepted. Yet the funds have not been withdrawn by the IRS, two weeks after the return was accepted. I have been unable to contact a Turbotax specialist to confirm that I chose direct debit. What can I do? Extremely irritated customer.

The IRS is way behind in processing returns, especially if you claimed credits. Be patient. TurboTax has no control over your return once it has been accepted by the IRS.

Hey, Champ! Do you work for Turbotax?

My return was already accepted. But my bank account hasn't been debited yet.

My question is how to confirm whether or not I actually chose Direct Debit to pay my taxes. Turbotax makes it impossible to confirm this and even more difficult to contact an agent. Patience isn't the issue.

Since the tax due is not due until April 15 they have until then to take it.
