Doing 2021 taxes I needed to look back to 2020 to see if a box was checked. Then I realized the 1099-R was not imported or entered. It would be a huge refund so I am assuming I need to do amendments to Fit and Sit?
I also do not have my CD anymore so I assume I will have to re-purchase it?
I also used to have a different email address for TT and I've tried everything to get account recovery to put all my year history there for me but I cannot fill out the lost account form. I am on a computer and the form wants a picture sent via smart phone only. I also cannot find a way to do an email for help. I am not a happy camper. Thank goodness I've used the same address for 2021 and 2020 which I need to amend. Just don't have any of my years of history.

Yes, you should amend your federal and state income tax returns if the 2020 1099-R changes your refund amount.
If you have a 2020 .tax file, you'll be able to upload your tax return to your 2020 tax return.
If you purchased the CD from TurboTax, contact us for a downloadable copy. If you don't already have a download account with us, you'll need to set one up.
Have you tried recovering your account with your phone number?

Thank you very much. I did try to undo the "smart phone" box but then it would let me do absolutely nothing. I am in Firefox so I will try MS app. I do appreciate your help but I am not so impressed with TT on a computer. Everything seems geared to a phone. I do have the tax file here but alas no longer the CD. I am waiting for my financial institution to find or make the 2020 1099-R. It is not on their site in my history either.
I am not sure if I can go ahead and file the 2021 or wait for the amended 2020 to get done but I have time to wait.
Thank you again, Donna
If you believe you may need to Amend your 2020 return, that does not prevent you from filing your 2021 return.
Each year is looked at separately by the IRS.
