I am having the same problem. Have you been able to find anything out? My federal refund says it was sent over a week ago and my bank has no record of any deposit or deposit attempt. I can't get ahold of a person at IRS or SBTG. Unusual because I've received my state refund, and never had this issue before.
Hey I’m having the same problem as well , Santa Barbara bank was the institution but no one ever answer the phone smh ..did u ever receive it ? How long it took?
@Torilucas2333 Yes I finally received it in my bank. I spent 8 hours on the phone, this message board, and reading up on @longhorn8847 and others messages. I called SBTPG and finally got ahold of a person after a 3 hour wait. They acknowledged my funds had been on hold for 7 days, IRS had sent the money Feb 24th. They didn't say why but assured me it would be resolved and early the next morning it hit my account. So overall, it was a week late but very concerning when you're used to getting your refund a day or two after the IRS says it's been sent to your bank. And I was even more concerned when the automated system at SBTPG said my account had suspicious activity, and then the website I was directed to to verify ID didn't accept my SSN. I began to get concerned I had identity theft or the money went to the wrong account (even though I verified my account many times in the filing and it was correct). All I can suspect is there was some glitch holding things up, but it all got straightened out in less than 24 hours once I finally spoke with a person at SBTPG. If your issue is like mine, your best bet it calling SBTPG. It will be a long wait, expect a few hours. Hope it helps.
I’m having the same issue… did you figure it out? Please help me..
Set on the phone with the Santa Barbara bank for hours no answer even had to call the next day … they finally pick up told me it was a glitch in there system an it has been reset ……check my account 24-72 hours … [phone number removed]
Definitely did this thanks so much
I filed mine mine February 2nd and IRS says it went out the 24th called my bank numerous times and even spoke to branch manager. Still no refund been over 4 weeks now…..explanation?
Does that mean the middle man bank if it can't be deposited in my account because wrong account number they will send a check or how does that work?
Not your bank the institution your tax Professional sends it to first @TKL717

So this IRS WMR tool says the funds have been sent on Feb. 24?
If you had any TurboTax product fees, did you chose to pay them out of your Federal refund, or did you pay them upfront by credit/debit card?
If you chose to pay fees out of your Federal refund, the refund goes first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest of the funds on to your bank (or card.) If you used that method to pay fees, and if the IRS has actually released the funds, you can check on the funds at the level of the intermediary company (SBTPG).
If that's your situation, then you can use the SBTPG refund lookup tool. Choose the "For taxpayers" portal at:
https://www.sbtpg.com/
If that's not your situation, then you need to check the bank routing and account numbers used for your refund to be sure there was not a typo, etc.
Should I call my bank then? Because it’s not in my account. I checked the the link you sent me and it says FUNDED into my account

If you paid your fees out of your Federal refund, and if SBTPG says your funds were sent to your designated account, then you need to check wherever you ultimately were expecting to receive the funds. For most people it will be their bank checking account. Some people choose to deposit their refunds to a debit card, while others choose to deposit it to a brokerage account, etc.
If it's your bank checking account, you can phone the bank to see if they are showing yet an expected ACH deposit. Some banks can tell you if one was received but was refused.
If for some reason the bank were to refuse the deposit, it will go back to SBTPG's bank, who will issue a paper check in the mail (in most cases.) In rare instances SBTPG could sent it back to the IRS, and the IRS would issue a check in the mail.
If you don't get it in the next day or two and want to phone SBTPG, here's how to reach them. SBTPG has a phone contact page at the following link. It also shows their business hours. Even when they are closed, you may be able to get automated info, or you can log in to the SBTPG refund look tool as I mentioned previously.
Scroll down a little at this page:
I suggest calling the bank to see if there is a record of a deposit attempt. Then I would call SBTPG if the bank has no record of it.
