Regarding your 2019 refunds, please use the following link to check your status:
As far as the second stimulus,
According to the IRS, there was a processing error occurred on their end, where million payments were sent to the wrong accounts and some may not have received their portion. IRS has begun placing the payments starting January 8th. Your bank could take a few business days to process. Your payment will be deposited into the same bank account where you received your 2019 tax refund.
To check the status of your stimulus payment, please visit the IRS Get My Payment tool.

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?
Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
Note - Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund. Only the taxpayer listed on the tax return can obtain the status of a tax refund or a tax return.
To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
Or you can contact your local IRS office. See this IRS website for local IRS offices - http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-Your-Local-IRS-Office-1 or call 1-844-545-5640 to set up an appointment
Or you may want to contact a Taxpayer Advocate in your area. See this IRS website for Taxpayer Advocate in your area and a toll free number - http://www.irs.gov/Advocate/Local-Taxpayer-Advocate

If you e-filed your federal tax return for tax year 2019 and it was Accepted by the IRS, then the IRS is who you need to contact. Once the tax return is Accepted by the IRS, TurboTax receives no information whatsoever concerning the tax return or the tax refund. TurboTax cannot legally intercede on your behalf with the IRS.
You need to call the IRS or set up an appointment with the local IRS office. Or you need to contact a Tax Advocate.
My 2019 tax return says it was accepted by turbo tax but when I log into the IRS, it says that they never received it. I tried calling a turbo tax support number but it is a robot and I can't reach a human being. If I could talk to a human being I am sure that this would be solved very quickly.
Do you know if your 2019 return was accepted? What did your emails say after you filed?
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
Check your account for 2019. If it says anything other than "accepted" your return was not filed. Either it was rejected and you did not notice and/or follow up, or it was never filed at all.
If you chose to file by mail, you had to mail it yourself. TurboTax does not mail it for you.
If it was not filed, then print, sign and mail it now.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund?
Your tax refund was not sent to TurboTax. TurboTax does not handle your refund at all.
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.
You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

If it was filed and accepted, then you have to follow up with the IRS to see what happened.
To call the IRS:IRS: 800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri
Listen to each menu before making the selection.
First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.
If this is about your state refund then contact your state:
On turbo tax it said it was accepted but the IRS never received it. I used the free turbo tax filing as I am a broke college student trying to get this taken care of for loans.
@jthorpe51 If the IRS somehow lost your 2019 return then the only way to file it now is by printing it, signing it in ink, and mailing it to them. It cannot be e-filed.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
