It has been 72 days since my federal return was accepted but I have not received a return yet. Is there something I can do than just wait to get some answers?

Hello,

Thank you for replying. I've called the IRS number. It is an automated robot that checks the same status as the IRS website and does not allow access to a human to see a reason why they are delaying the process. Is this a normal time frame for a refund to go through now? I feel that there is no one to turn to about this situation.
