Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

IRS Refuns is shown as estimated to be refunded on 28th February 2024 but today is 8th March 2024, and I still haven't received. Should I do anything?

Can I change my bank account details if that's the problem? How long would it take? I don't have a US phone number, thus I cannot reach out. I need help!

No, you cannot change your bank account.   The IRS does not allow you to change your bank account after they accept your return for processing.  However---you say you do not have a U.S. phone number.   Did you enter banking information for a bank with a U.S. address?  The IRS will not make a deposit to a foreign bank account.  They will only mail a check to your address if you do not have a U.S. based bank account.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2023 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

My return is accepted. But for a US based account, no, I entered a French address for an international bank account (on Revolut). Thus, this should be the reason of the delay, right? And when I try to track my return on IRS website, it says that this "The information you entered doesn't match our records" even though I filled correctly.  And if they do not let me to change the bank account, what should I do now?

Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing of your return or the release of your refund.

Here are a couple FAQs to track your refund:
When will I get my federal tax refund?
How do I track my state refund?
Why does Where's My Refund say "approved" but TurboTax still says "accepted"?

The IRS does not allow a direct deposit of a refund into a foreign bank account. They will likely mail you a check to the address on your return.
