My 2020 Federal Tax return was accepted by the IRS on Feb 27 (according to Turbo Tax), but as of today using "Where's my refund", online or on the phone, I still get the message that they have no record of it or that I entered incorrect information. I am sure I entered the correct SS#, filing status, and refund amount that Turbo Tax calculated. It is now more than 21 days since I filed, and I am concerned since they say it should be processed within 21 days. Is it possible that the refund amount changed, perhaps because of an error in how the refund amount was calculated? There must be some other way to check whether they actually have a record of my return.
It is still possible that everything is fine, just taking longer. If there is a recalculation needed, this will take much longer.

I have been in formed by Turbo Tax, that IRS accepted my 2020 Tax Refund 1040-SR on
02/13/2021.. Its been almost 7 weeks and I still have not received my refund. I have checked
the IRS Refund Status every other day, the only reply I get is the IRS has not info. concerning
my refund. Why is it taking so long!!!!
Sadly, the IRS refund site has been behaving erratically and has not always reliable this year. TurboTax has no control over this and cannot find out anything about your refund for you.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic. The IRS is backlogged —-they are still trying to process millions of 2019 returns; they received millions of e-filed on the day they opened for 2020 returns, and now they are burdened with sending out another round of stimulus checks.
Some delays are resulting from incorrect amounts that folks entered for stimulus checks they received. Many people have been confused by the recovery rebate credit and completed it incorrectly. The IRS may delay your refund while they cross-check to see what you received.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

So my return was accepted on 2/10 and now when i look at the transcript is says no return on record...what is my next step to amend the return or just wait.. Cause you cant get thorough to talk to anyone
You can go ahead and amend your return once it has been accepted.
You can log back into TurboTax to verify the return was accepted by following the steps in the link below.
If the returns show they were accepted by the IRS and state taxing agency, as applicable, you can proceed. The IRS has been behind in updating the status page for taxpayers so it may just take a bit longer for them to update your return status on their site.
Please see the links below to determine if you need to amend and how to amend.
Hello everyone!
It sounds like I am in the same boat too. I filed my 2020 taxes through TurboTax back in May of 2021 and still have not received my refund.
Up until January of this year, when I checked online, it would just say, 'pending'.
Now, when I use the IRS "where is my refund" app, it says it cannot find it!
And good luck on trying to get a hold of someone at the IRS. Been trying since January and going through their mountain of menus only to be told to 'call back later'.
