If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

Turbo Tax's fees came out to around $200. While exorbitant, that still doesn't account for the missing amount.
TurboTax is now sending me automated emails asking if I got the answer that I needed. No, no I am not getting the information that I need, progress is not being made on this, and I have not been able to contact people who can help. I have tried several times to call, but I have not been able to make progress with the people that I've spoken to. TurboTax also appears not to offer any email contacts, and I am only getting automated emails that I cannot respond to. I work 12 to 15 hours a day, and I can't spend the hours that this is taking on the phone, so being able to follow up by email would be really helpful, but that's apparently not an option. So: no, this is unresolved, and help has been difficult to get, despite paying fees specifically to have help.
How about the state "refund"?
Was that about $80?
That is issued separately.
