Yes, TurboTax does not mail returns to the IRS or states.  You'll print, sign and mail your return(s) using the instructions I'm linking below.  It's recommended that you mail using a certified method so that a signature is required on receipt.  The TurboTax program will print out an instruction sheet that will contain full instructions, including mailing address.  NOTE:  If you are filing both federal and state returns, they will be mailed separately to completely different addresses.

If you choose to file your tax return by mail then you will have to print, sign, date and mail the federal tax return to the IRS yourself.  Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.

If you chose to file by mail you are the one who has to mail it.  TurboTax does not mail it for you.  You have to sign the return in ink yourself, date it and take it to a mailbox.

TurboTax will not know anything about your mailed return, and will continue to show “Ready to Mail” on your account.  TurboTax will not know that you put your tax return in an envelope and took it to a mailbox.  TurboTax does not get updates on mailed  (or emailed) returns.

Wait about 4 weeks from when you mail a return and then you can check the status on the IRS site. https://www.irs.gov/refunds

State returns have to be mailed to the state.

If you mail a tax return (or a payment) to the IRS, it is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it like UPS or certified mail so you will know it was received.
