I went to "Get My Payment" on IRS.gov and it says, "We scheduled your check to be mailed on May 04, 2020." Can I get the payment sent by direct deposit?

Shaiya, did you ever receive your check?  Same thing happened to me, just like you, I was never given the option to enter dd info.

Update.... its June 10th, I got the confirmation letter but NO check....

Someone may have took your check. I got my check, the letter came about a month after I received the check.

UPDATE - For lost in mail ....

If 4 weeks have passed from the mail date ...

I was able to speak with an IRS rep. Call [phone number removed], mute your phone, when the system asks for language preference, don't reply, wait... you will either be dropped or in the holding que.   I waited 45 mins for a real live rep, not bad....The rep put a trace on the mailed ck, I was told either a check or paperwork would arrive in 6 weeks.  3 weeks into the wait, I went to "get my pmt" portal, and instead of the May 4 mail date, it now stated I qualified for the pmt and I was able to enter direct deposit info.  Its my "guess" the tracer showed as uncashed and the system has a manual over ride for accepting dd info in certain scenarios.
