No. You are required to put a SSN on a tax return. If you are trying to provide a copy of the return to someone and do not want them to have your SSN, then get creative with some white out and a copier or a sharpie pen.
No, there is no way remove the SS number on the printed return. If you are saving the return for you records and do not want the SS number shown, you black out the SS number with a marker on all the forms and schedules.
