Pay your TurboTax fees, print, sign and date the return in ink, and mail it in.
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
If the return CAN be efiled you really SHOULD efile it. Mailed in returns must first be delivered by the post office (and will cost you more to make sure that the return was recieved by the IRS/state) then the return must be opened (eventually) and entered into the system by an over worked under paid data input operator (input error rates have been reported to be 25% or higher) and then wait for 6 weeks or much much longer to process.
