The advance has to be offered to you. It is possible that you do not meet one or more of the eligibility requirements, so it is not being offered.

Refund Advance eligibility
Here are some of the eligibility requirements to qualify for a Refund Advance loan:
I was told it wouldn't be offered til the 29th of this month by an intuit emplyee.
Believe the advance website or believe the person you talked to on the phone--who might be a newly hired seasonal employee.
Doesn't really make since I've been offered it every year same tax information but this year I don't qualify for it. If that the case seems like alot of people would be going somewhere else.
@keshiapuckett89 Sorry----but waiting to e-file is an overall better idea anyway. When you file too early, your return just sits on a server until the IRS opens. We have seen too many early filers who make mistakes, go under review, have to verify identity---all sorts of aggravations that delay their refunds. Waiting until late January or even into February is smarter.
It didn't give me the option to ask for the advance!! I thought i did everything correctly I signed up for a credit karma card & all but once I completed & submitted I don't see any information about the advance. Help!!

First off your advice is horrid! There is obviously something wrong with the advance option if you have credit karma! TurboTax is attempting to open a new account for you instead of going with the credit karma account you already have! It creates a system error that we can't see AND NOW THEY WANT US TO PAY TO TELL THE THEIR System is BROKEN
Yes! This is absolutely correct. It did the same thing to me, I’ve been getting the advance for years with no issues. Trying to add expenses option is broken too. They will lose a customer, I’m done with them.
