I just received a 1099-MISC for exactly $600, but I had already filed my federal and state tax returns. Do I need to file amended returns including that income?

I saw another question that asked about sending 1099-MISCs for paying someone exactly $600. I assume the answer to this question is the same (necessary for equal to or greater than $600), but I figured I'd check in case I don't have to file amended returns.

If accepted (the returns were received by the IRS), then you will need to Amend your return. During the amendment process, you will be able to add your Form 1099-Misc. It is necessary to report this income because the IRS already has a copy of it.

One you are within the Amend return section, you will see a screen stated "What do you need to change on your return?", you will need to scroll a bit and look for I need to change (amend) my return for a different reason, then Wages & Income, click Update

Also, please note: your refund monitor will change to $0, to show you if anything changes when you amend.
