After you file
If
accepted (the returns were
received by the IRS), then you will need to Amend
your return. During the amendment process, you will be able to add your Form 1099-Misc. It is necessary to report this income because the IRS already has a copy of it.
One you are within
the Amend return section, you will see a
screen stated "What do you need to change
on your return?", you will need to scroll a bit and look for I need to change (amend) my return for a different reason, then Wages & Income, click Update
Also, please note: your refund monitor will change to $0, to show you if anything changes when you amend.
