Both the online version and the desktop version have Premier. In the online version, the tax tools is on the black bar to the left. See the screen shot below. If using the Desktop version, go into Forms Mode at the top right. After you click on the form, you will see at the bottom a button to delete.
This solution does not work. I have tried to delete the form 4797 MANY times. But TT brings it back.
I needed to edit the form, but it is not allowing edit either. Very frustrated with TT now.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for how to delete the sale of business property form 4797 - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-edit-or-delete-sale-of-business-property-f...
I have tried that 10+ times. The forms come back. Using TT Premier. Will not use TT going forward. Wasted hours to remove the form. It's not allowing edit either.

You cannot just delete that form because it is autogenerated by some other entry ... you must remove the root cause to delete that form.
If you are using the downloaded version then switch to the FORMS mode and review that form to see what is generating it so you know what needs to be removed.
If you are using the online version then click on TOOLS and then PRINT CENTER to choose the option of a PDF with the worksheets.
You cannot delete the for 4797 for a rental real estate at all. If you delete, it comes back.
The rental property "SALE" is reported in the "Rental Properties and Royalties" section, but the result shows up in "Business Items". There it is in "Sale of Business Property" and had the button to Update if you need to edit. BUT, here is the fun part, you cannot do anything using this 'Update" button. . Even though the number shows up here you actually have to go to the Rental section to update the numbers here. If you uncheck the sale of the rental property, the form 4797 will disappear.
Talking about counter intuitive !. It took hours of trial and reading to figure this out.
Can you clarify, please? I can't quite follow what you said. What exactly do I need to uncheck, and where, to make the form go away?
