I can't find what type of Tax Return I had last year, is there another way of determining what kind of form I have?

I have both forms with me because I switched jobs, but nowhere near the top left corner does it have those numbers.

The best way is to look at a copy of your last year's tax return (it will be in the top left corner). 

However, if you used the TurboTax Free Edition last year and only had Form W-2s (from your job) to enter, then you most likely used the IRS Form 1040EZ.

But when I try and register my last years tax return it does not give me the option of using this form it just gives 1040, 1040NR, or 1040X
