I filed my 2021 taxes and I realized I made a mistake when I submitted the part where I claim two dependents so that got me 4200 for my third stimulus .I accidentally totaled it myself instead of just putting 1400 was received for each and from there they times it by how many dependents I have. My question is should I amend this or will the IRS catch this? My refund decrease tremendously .Anyone else made the same mistake?

First---look on line 30 of your Form 1040. What amount do you see there? And how many children did you claim as dependents on your 2021 return? Is it a joint return or are you single or head of household?

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
I am head of household ,dependents of two and is blank for line 30
I can't tell......did you already get the 4200 Stimulus payments during the year or how much? If you didn't already get the full 4200 the IRS might adjust your return and add it on for you. But they might not if you have 0 on line 30.
