I applied for the refund advance and now my return has been accepted, but I haven't received anything regarding the advance.

• That was what made me so mad. I was accepted before the 24th but I was told over and over that they wouldn’t have accepted it before then. The IRS runs test batches and evidently we were apart of a test batch. I would expect a tax preparer rep to already know that information but apparently it’s hard to get any information from anybody on any of this. I doubt I will receive an advance at this point.

Finally after searching through my emails in the spam folder I found an email from First Century Bank. Apparently they declined my loan offer even though I still got pre-approved, opened up a credit karma card account; which by the way stinks bigger than a dumpster fire! 

After reading why they declined my loan I call the number it specifically says to contact about concerns and when I call the number given on the denial letter low and behold they also can't help and "forwarded my case to a supervisor". 

I think this entire year was nothing but a marketing scam for everyone to rush into filling for a loan only to be declined or not receive money! 

If anybody is in Virginia and interested in a class action lawsuit please let me know how to join you in this suit! 

Complaint already made to the BBB and I wrote on turbo tax Facebook page and sent a message and no response yet of course.

I finally got an email too! I was denied because of an offset. I was on the phone all morning and there is no offset. Tried to talk to someone about it and there is no one. They said to ask turbo tax to let me reapply but of course TT said they can't. So guess there's that.

I’m still dealing with the fact that they can’t even find my application!! Ridiculous! Had I know it would be this big of an unorganized mess I would of never used either company this tax season.

Were you able to speak with a live person when calling First Century?  All I managed to do was get recordings that say to hangup at the end.   One said that I wasn't accepted for the maximum amount (which I was not expecting) but that I was accepted for a smaller amount but it did not say what that amount was, and I did not enter ANY information so unless it used the phone number I was calling from I don't know how it could have even known that.  I see several people have not received their deposit which is great but it seems the people who have received it only first applied yesterday.  It's been 7 days for me! I'm pretty upset that people who replied several days after me would get their deposit before me!  This whole process is a joke and I will never use TurboTax again!

Same here. I just got off the phone with both companies and no help. The lady I spoke with at turbo told me they were just told to tell people that call in that unfortunately they can't see anything to confirm any status. I asked so honestly can you tell me if I'm just screwed and not going to get it, she said she knows nothing and wish she could help. Ugh!! Maybe if enough people call and blow them up they can work on a fix .

I am so stressed out! I've been checking spam and all folders. Have not seen anything regarding the advance.

I did chat with someone from TT help 3ish hours ago that researched my info and said things were in motion, I should get an email soon, keep checking it 🙂

Now I see these responses about getting denied after being pre approved and I am freaking out 😭

I had the same issue as everyone else on here. But for some reason I decided to Google "credit karma visa debit card" and when I did it took me right to the account that credit karma created and loaded my refund advance to 😃

I was approved the same time you were and still nothing. No one has any answers only to call the irs it is their fault we do not have the advance.

Then you haven't had the same issues because we all know where the account is.  They just have not put any money in it

Has nothing at all to do with the IRS.  The advance is provided by first century bank based on the IRS accepting your return.
