Where does one opt out of the RPS Fee?

The RPS is a Refund Processing Service fee charged when you choose to have your TurboTax fees taken out of your refund instead of paying them directly.

If you pay by credit card, you will not have to use the RPS feature, and thus will avoid the fee.

Thanks

Where does one opt out of the RPS Fee?

This is an old post but you were shown the fees on several screens before paying or filing.  You had to agree to it.  Here's a couple screen shots.

And  here is how to remove it for anyone else that sees this post,

Where does one opt out of the RPS Fee?

My frustration at the time was based on the fee being inserted much earlier in the process and i found it (as have others) counter intuitive to have to go back to the beginning of the process to uncheck that box which is (if I recall correctly) by default: checked.

I am also a user, and can tell you that the program does not default to the Refund Processing Fee.

I think it’s because we get used to clicking the bottom right button to continue each page.  So we just go fast and don’t pay attention and click the same spot on this page, see screen shot 1.  When you’re in the final steps you get in a hurry to finish.
