I already filed my State Taxes. Is there a way I can just file my federal? And if not, if I re-file my State taxes could I get in trouble with the IRS?

I already filed my state taxes and received my return. However there was an issue with filing my Federal taxes and I’m trying to refile on turbo tax. But it won’t allow me to only file Fed. If I refile all could I get in trouble with the IRS?

Did you use Turbo Tax to file state?  No you don't have to do or file state again.

To not file state you can delete it.

No I used the IRS website but there was an error and only my state taxes were actually filed. However I never received an email about it and just recently logged on to check why I haven’t received my federal return. I’ve tried contacting someone at the IRS but no one answers the phone so I wanted to just re-file my fed taxes. But there is not an option to only file fed and not state so I’m not sure what to do here. I don’t want to face legal issues for re-filing my state taxes after already receiving the return.

If state got filed that means the federal was filed too.  Sorry but it could not have filed state if the federal wasn't first filed and accepted.  Maybe the federal did go through?  The IRS is taking a long time to process returns this year so you might have to keep waiting.

If you used the Online version you can check your efile status here

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.  And check your spam folder for them.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  What does it say?

But you can try filing it again.  If federal or state already got accepted then the second time will reject.  It won't hurt anything to try.
