I mailed them on the 7th of February threw the ups
Did you mail them using the USPS (US Postal Service), or send them via UPS (United Parcel Service)? In either case, did you get a tracking number?
I mailed it Feb 4th I have confirmation they received it but it says not processed and it’s been 8 weeks
IRS info on refunds
IRS Where's my Refund is saying.....
It's taking us more than 21 days (and up to 90 to 120 days) to issue refunds for tax returns with the Recovery Rebate Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit.
Mailed returns can take even longer.
The IRS has experienced the same issues as everyone due to the Coronavirus. They are facing a lengthy backlog of returns that have not been computerized from mailed returns. They are in the process of getting current and recently announced they are making plans to catch up.
'The Treasury Department and IRS announced last week a plan to catch up on the pandemic-related backlog this year. The effort includes the hiring of 10,000 IRS employees over the next year, including 5,000 in the next few months.'
They may officially post information as they move forward. At this time it's not possible to give a time frame for you.
How long will it take ? How do I know it was received?
@Kikinhak You added on to an already long thread. Are you asking how long it will be until you know the IRS received a mailed return? It can take four weeks or even longer, and unless you used a mailing service like certified mail to track it, you will not know they received it until they enter it into the system and you can check it on the IRS refund site.
TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

i mailed my return on feb 21st there has been no sign of u getting it,i havechecked on wheres my return an says has no info
@maples1966 It takes much longer for the IRS to process mailed returns. If you did not use a mailing service to track your mailed return, like certified mail---then you are left wondering for weeks or longer whether they received it. TurboTax never knows that you mailed your return and will not have any information. When they finally open your envelope they will put the information on the IRS refund site.

If you are wondering if you should send your return again——the IRS does not want you to file a second time. Putting two tax returns into the system at the same time can lead to confusion and even more delays. If you did not use tracking and do not know if the return was received—-you have to make your own judgment call and decide if you want to risk further delay by sending the return again.
please help me
I need to know if 2021 tax return was ever received by IRS
after it was rejected and we mailed it in.
when i go to Where IS My Refund... just says they have no
information
State tax refund was direct deposit within 3 weeks.
thank you
@EW20 TurboTax never gets any information from the IRS after you file, whether you e-filed or mailed it. It takes the IRS a long time to process mailed returns. When they finally open your envelope and put it into the system you will be able to see information on the IRS refund site.

Calling does not get me any answers. I just want to make sure they got my tax return mailed 11 weeks ago.
@cgirish TurboTax cannot help. No information is provided to TT after you file a tax return. TurboTax does not even know you took your return to a mailbox. If you did not use a mailing service to track your mailed return and get a confirmation that it was received there is no way to know until you see something on the IRS refund site. And, yes it is very difficult to call the IRS. They are backlogged, understaffed and do not want phone calls asking if they have your envelope.
I would like to know if the IRS has received my online tax return completed on 2/20/22
order #TTWCB237045547
Did you efile? Was it Accepted?
Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?
If you used the Online version you can check your efile status here
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. And check your spam folder for them.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
I mailed my taxes off a month or 2 ago how do i know if they got it or not
