Go back to your original 1099-DIV entry in your Federal return; if you imported it, delete and re-enter it manually.
If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program and clear your Cache and Cookies first.
In TurboTax Desktop, go to FORMS, find 1099-Div under 'Forms in My Return' and type the correct info directly on the form.
If you manually entered the 1099DIV you can go back to the item to edit the information. However, if you imported the form you may need to delete and enter manually.
Honestly, the state in the address is not important when entering the form 1099-Div. Does not affect the amount taxed.
If you receive $10 or more in dividends, you will receive a Form 1099-DIV. This form shows the dividends you received, any taxes withheld, non-dividend distributions, capital gains distributions, investment expenses, and certain other types of gains. You will need to report this income on your tax return.
Thanks Cynthiad66, for the reply. I was actually unable to e-file at the end due to this error. I get a Fix Federal Return tab and when I click that I get the message which says Payer's zip code is wrong and asks me to change the zip code, where in reality I entered the State wrong and I can't see how I fix the state.

Thanks, MarilynG1. I deleted the original entry and re-entered the values, and it worked!
I'm using the turbotax intuit. but can't e-file it because a Payer's address error in Form 1099-DIV. I don't how the wrong address was imported and can't change it.
I'd tried to clear cache/cookies and removed the Form 1099DIV and imported it again. It doesn't work. also tried with a different browser. Why doesn't it give a place to enter the info manually? So sucks.
Can you try using the steps provided below and see if that works:

No, there is no direct access to any forms, schedule or worksheets when using the TurboTax online editions. If anything on a form needs to be changed you will have to return to the section for entering the form and edit the form to make certain changes.
