Hi, I just recently realized I have an additional 1099 that needs to be filed, but I already e-filed 1099 using TurboTax in January. Do I need to do a 1099 amendment by paper file or can I just e-file an additional 1099 using TurboTax?

You have to amend your tax return to include that additional income. That means preparing a Form 1040X which must be mailed in--it cannot be e-filed. Do not mail the amended return until your original return has been fully processed.

A 1040X cannot be e-filed. It must be printed and mailed. It will take about 4 months for the IRS to process an amended return. It is a good idea to use a mailing service that will track it, like UPS or certified mail, so you will know it was received.

Sorry for the confusion, I mean the 1099 I need to issue for someone.

A 1099Misc you received or need to issue to someone you paid? If you already filed your 1040 tax return you need to amend it to add another 1099Misc you received unless you included that income on Schedule C from your own records.
