Do I need to pay

I filed federal taxes and owe money . 2 days later I realized I made a mistake . I amended and now I’m due a refund . Question is do I need to send money in that I owe from original or just submit the amended form ?

Just submit the amendment.  There is a question that asks how much you paid with your original filing, you will want to show $0.

Yes ... look at that 1040X carefully ... line 16 asks for what you did pay with the original return.  If that is not a zero then you will need to change it and recompute the rest of the form to see if you really get a refund now or just owe less.  If you owe a payment should be included with the amended return.
