If you used online TurboTax the account (s) only save your returns for seven years, so 2010 is gone. And returns you prepared using the CD/download are only stored on your own hard drive or any back up device you used.
Sorry but even the IRS only saves them for 7 years.
There is a site called taxprinter.com that you can try---at your own risk. They are not owned or monitored in any way by TurboTax.
I used Turbotax on my computer and have the file and the application. But I do not anymore have a computer that will run the application. I'm hoping that Intuit might have a way to open archaic tax files. Taxprinter seems like a chancy option. I'd appreciate any advice.
There is no help to be had from TT ... sorry.
ALWAYS save a PDF of the return in addition to the .taxfile as a PDF file can always be opened using a PDF reader ... no program needed.
Why do you need to open a return that old ?
