Can I generate a "pro forma" tax return for last year from TurboTax??

Attorney is asking for one - it seems strange I would need to hire an accountant just for this task.  Any suggestions?

What are you asking about ?    If you used the TT program to complete a return then you should be able to download the PDF.

If you did not prepare or file a tax return for last year at all then you would need to use the CD/download software in order to prepare a return.   You cannot use online software now.

Online preparation and e-filing for 2018 and 2019 and 2020 is permanently closed.

To file a return for a prior tax year

 If you need to prepare a return for 2018, 2019 or 2020 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s)

You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.

Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.

You can get Form 1040 in fillable PDF format for the tax year you are talking about.

Fill in the amounts that are relevant to your finances.
