Dear Sirs,
I received a text message stating that my federal return was rejected by IRS. Message was from 606-82 whoever that is. It also stated to check my email but have received no email on further instructions to correct or fix the problem. I feel this is some sort of phishing scam. Please email me on the true status of my return. Thank you ahead of time for your attention regarding this matter.
Respectfully submitted,
Filiberto X Carrillo

This is actually not a phishing scam. TurboTax uses the number 60682, to send text alerts to its customers. If you would like to no longer receive text alerts, you can text back with the message STOP or you can change how you receive messages in your TurboTax account.
Hello,
I received a response as to the validity of the text message; however, I need to know if my federal tax return has been fixed after its rejection. What do I need to do if anything to fix this issue? Please let me know with any further instructions. Thank you for your attention regarding this matter.

You should have received an email letting you know if your return was accepted after you fixed the errors from the rejection. If you did not receive it, you may want to check your junk/spam folder.
You can also check your e-file status by following the steps in the below TurboTax FAQ:

Dear Michel O,
I have received no email notification inbox or spam nor junk regarding any corrections needed to fix the problem. This has got me in serious concern and I need to know the status of my federal tax return. Is this notification going to be from Turbo or IRS. I have nothing from either! Please investigate this issue and let me know what the problem is. Thank you!

Michelle,
Sorry for your trouble Ma’am! I signed into my Turbo account and it seems they were needing PIN Identity theft number since I am a victim. I have provided the PIN and hopefully this will process with IRS. Thank you!
Filiberto X Carrillo
Yes, it should go through since you have entered the PIN. You will be notified if it is rejected.
I have replied stop and the text keeps coming back through. I delete the thread and it comes back and pins itself to the top of my text messages. There is some glitch and I cannot make them stop.coming through.
Please advise.
What does the text message say? Where is it coming from?
