I amended my 2018 and it was received 10/13/3020. They just started working on it on July 15, 2021. I called today for an update and was advised it will be mailed out on 08/20/2021. I think they are behind because of stimulus checks. 

Also the where is my amended return still says they've received it but have not yet processed.  My transcripts also show a refund date for 08/20/21.

If you check your transcripts look at the year you're amending. Hope this helps in some form or fashion.

@Simplyshonda You do not see a record where?   Your TurboTax account?   You could be in the wrong account.

  You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

Even during “normal” times it takes about four months for the IRS to process an amended return.  During the pandemic and due to the severe backlog at the IRS it is taking much longer—six months or more for many amended returns.  Do not expect quick results from amending.  When the IRS issues a refund for an amended return it will be by check.  They do not make direct deposits for refunds for amended returns.  You can watch for information here:

I filled a amended return on May 16 2021 and I received a message from TurboTax said they would notify me when refund was sent. I have check the status weekly. They said they have received it and it is being processed and allow 16 week. The time is up and the message now say the received the Amendment but it was not processed and sorry for any convenient. What now

@Helen Clayton Not sure what you interpreted as a promise that TurboTax would let you know when a refund was sent to you, since TurboTax NEVER knows if or when a refund is sent.   After you file your tax return, TurboTax gets no information at all from the IRS or state.
